{"rfam": {"acc": "RF00628", "id": "RgsA", "description": "RgsA sRNA", "comment": "This small RNA (sRNA) was computationally identified in the genome of the opportunistic pathogen Pseudomonas aeruginosa and its expression verified by northern blot analysis [1]. P16 sRNA appears to be conserved across several Pseudomonas species and Azotobacter vinelandii. In these species it is consistently located downstream of a predicted TatD deoxyribonuclease gene. P16 has a predicted Rho independent terminator at the 3' end but the function of P16 is unknown [1]. It has been shown that this sRNA is transcribed from an RpoS-dependent promoter under positive, probably indirect GacA control in two Pseudomonas species. It was renamed RgsA (for regulation by GacA and stress).[2]RpoS mRNA expression is repressed by RgsA during the exponential phase. The Hfq RNA chaperone is required for the repression.[5]", "curation": {"author": "Daub J", "seed_source": "INFERNAL", "num_seed": 27, "num_full": 62, "num_species": 85, "type": "Gene; sRNA;", "structure_source": "Predicted; RNAalifold"}, "cm": {"build_command": "cmbuild -F CM SEED", "calibrate_command": "cmcalibrate --mpi CM", "search_command": "cmsearch --cpu 4 --verbose --nohmmonly -T 30.00 -Z 2958934 CM SEQDB", "cutoffs": {"gathering": 88.4, "trusted": 88.7, "noise": 77.2}}, "release": {"date": "2026-01-16", "number": "15.1"}, "clan": {"acc": null, "id": null}}}
